"Growing visual language between plants and machines "





NODES Plants don't have brains. But mycorrhizal networks,

the underground threads connecting root systems. Moving information, sharing resources and respond to threat in ways that look a lot like computation.

NODES asks: what would that look like if you could see it?



HOW IT WAS BUILT

RESEARCH → Plant neurobiology, mycorrhizal network logic, biomimicry.

The visual system had to be scientifically grounded, not just nature-inspired.

BUILD → TouchDesigner. Nodes spawn, send signals, branch, and die back based on real root network behavior. No two runs produce the same output.

EXHIBITION → Graduation thesis, Rome, October 2025.
